This years National Biodiversity Week begins on the 19th May to 28th May 2023. Tralee Bay Wetlands Eco & Activity Park with An Taisce, Legacy4Life, Ponds for Biodiversity Project and Irish Wildlife Trust, will be running activities all this week long, focusing on our own native species of flora and fauna that make up our island’s biodiversity.
“National Biodiversity Week is all about connecting people with nature. It's about communicating the importance of biodiversity and motivating people to play their part in protecting it.”
Restoring a wetland requires dedication. Ideally, seven key players plan and work together to make this complex undertaking a success on the ground.
Enthusiastic individuals support wetland restoration with their own choices, voices, actions, and by getting involved in local initiatives.
